DMH Nurses Take Course To Assist Victims Of Sexual Assult
DMH Emergency Care Center nurses have recently undergone training to become Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners (SANE’s).
Several registered nurses at DMH have undergone 40 hours of advanced education in forensic examination of sexual assault victims to become certified Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners. These nurses work to provide medical, physical, emotional and evidentiary services to sexual assault victims who come to DMH for treatment. Decatur Memorial Hospital, South Shores Imaging Center and Forsyth Imaging Center Receive American College of Radiology Accreditation
April 16, 2010...Decatur Memorial Hospital, South Shores Imaging Center and Forsyth Imaging Center have each been awarded a three-year term of accreditation in CT scanning as the result of a recent survey by the American College of Radiology (ACR).
The ACR, headquartered in Reston, Va., awards accreditation to facilities for the achievement of high practice standards after a peer-review evaluation of the practice. Evaluations are conducted by board-certified physicians and medical physicists who are experts in the field. Read more...
Decatur Memorial Hospital Earns Designation as National Spirit of Women Premier Hospital
April 16, 2010...Spirit of Women Health Network has selected Decatur Memorial Hospital as a Spirit of Women Premier Hospital.
The designation is based on an evaluation using the National Standards of Excellence in Women’s Health which measures clinical excellence in women’s healthcare and community outreach. The Standards were developed by Spirit of Women Health Network in educational cooperation with the Office of Women’s Health and Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS). Read more...
